The University's Corporate Communications team are offering Journalism students the chance to gain first-hand experience of managing PR and communications for a large and varied organisation.
The Corporate Communications Department is responsible for the University’s media relations, digital & social media, internal communications and marketing, with a core purpose of raising the profile and strengthening the reputation of the University externally, as well as keeping staff and students up to date with University news and events.
Over the week, students will be given a unique chance to gain experience in the Media Relations Team, Digital Team and Internal Communications, to help us tell the University's story with passion and impact through a variety of channels.
We're looking for skilled, enthusiastic and confident students who have a good eye for a story, creative flair and excellent written and communication skills for different platforms, including online, social media and the press.
Students should be comfortable working independently on tasks and mini projects to support a busy department.
